Responsible for executing reliability tests, troubleshooting field returned products, products teardown, functional testing, and basic debugging of electronic circuit boards. Also, will be required to ensure the lab equipment are calibrated and purchase components/parts needed for testing. This role requires you to be in office 5 days out of the week.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Execute reliability tests as instructed by the Product Quality engineering (PQE) team.
• Troubleshoot field returned products and work with suppliers for Root Cause Analysis.
• Coordinate with 3rd party testing service to conduct testing on returned products and compiling report
• Responsible for managing PQE/RTS samples in the PQE lab in a systemic way for ease of retrieval/disposal
• Perform a teardown of products and compiling of report
• Perform electrical inspection, testing and troubleshooting of products.
• Record and report test results in a neat, concise, and accurate format.
• Complete all test activities in a thorough and timely manner
• Familiarity with reliability test equipment such as drop test, thermal chambers, etc.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment such as multi-meters, scopes, analyzers, etc.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment such as force gauge, caliper, microscope etc.
• Maintain records on work performed, analyze data and report results.
• Coordinate and exchange findings with the engineering team
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order.
• Conduct GR&R on test/reliability equipment.
• Ensures all equipment calibration is up to date
• Contact company representatives and distributors for part pricing and availability
• Generate Purchase Orders and working with accounting team for payment
• Conduct audit of the PQE, HWQA and EE lab to make sure we are maintaining adequate ESD controls at our facility.
• Collaborate with engineering and design assurance teams
• Assist in testing product for compliance approval such as USB, MFI, SMAPP etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
• Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001; understand and fully support IS0 system.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required. Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in technical field or its equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of previous product testing experience required; consumer electronics experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a reliability testing lab
  • Experience testing consumer electronics products including troubleshooting, and failure analysis
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Familiar with ISO 17025 (experience either working in a certified lab or knowledge of this standard).
  • Detailed oriented with strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; solid analytical experience with Excel is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Minitab is highly preferred
