Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages incoming
payments, properly tracking them into the system to maintain
accurate bookkeeping records. An Accounts Receivables Specialist
has the following responsibilities.

Accounts receivable functions:
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory

Education and/or ExperienceAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent
one-three year experience in clerical accounting.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions,
short correspondence, and memos. Ability to writesimple
correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in
one-on-one and small group situationsto customers, clients, and
other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to
carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagramform.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual
should have knowledge of Accounting software;Database software;
Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and
Word Processingsoftware.
