Job Description Global steel trading company is currently seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator for their Long Beach, CA office to assist the sales team activities overseeing inventory, supply chain, logistics, A/R, processing. This is not a sales position. This role is responsible for analyzing inventory levels and customer forecasts to ensure appropriate mill orders are placed and material is processed at designated service centers. How you---ll contribute to our company: Understand the Supply Chain of our business which will include dealing with Mills, Logistics, Processing and Customers. It is important to understand entire picture of the business that will be able to manage entire Supply Chain Develop a complete understanding of customer needs and expectations, analyze data, and suggest strategies for meeting these expectations Support and assist other sales personnel by providing market information, assisting with price build-ups, and identifying potential suppliers and customers Detailed and accurate input of sales data into company's ERP system Monitor customer credit limits and reviews letters of credit documents to determine compliance with international standards. Prepares and issues documentation in accordance with L/C requirements or contract terms. Build customer relationships and deliver superior customer service Assist in management of customer orders from inception to payment Execute new customer part creations in our system Work with outside sales to ensure proper and timely collection of AR Monitor customer and vendor credit limits daily Create shipping schedules to meet customer delivery requests Coordinate processing of materials with outside processors and building best yields Process customer invoices by reviewing pricing contracts Pay vendors by utilizing pricing contracts Coordinate steel claims (processing, mill, transportation) and file necessary debit memos Here---s what is needed to be successful: Bachelor---s degree in a related field 2-5 years--- experience in the metals industry preferred General knowledge and understanding of customer service and inventory management Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and manage difficult customer situations in a fast-paced environment Able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines Excellent organization, problem solving, and decision-making skills Attention to detail is required Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Excellent data entry skills required PhilP
