Position SummaryThe Copywriter and Content Coordinator is a key part of the marketing team where your creative writing skills will allow you to produce high quality B2B content that appeals to the audience, attracts customers and boosts brand awareness. The marketing copywriter and coordinator will craft engaging, accurate B2B content for a range of marketing channels including digital, media and communications, email and promotional collateral. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.The firm has one available position in either Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Dover, OH; Long Beach, CA; Bethesda, MD; Petaluma, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Walnut Creek, CA. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs.Please discuss available options with your recruiter.Your Contributions and ResponsibilitiesCopywriting:Write marketing/promotional copy and informational copy to sell product, webinars and eventsWrite clear, accurate and engaging copy for event and product marketing initiatives such as web pages, category pages, banner ads, direct mailers, event signage, print ads and more including the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits Awards, descriptions for product pages on the website, banner ads, print ads, direct mailers and Google AdsWrite copy for social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to sell product, webinar and eventsWrite subject line, pre-header, body, CTA and graphic tagline for product, webinar and event emailsDraft and send referral emails and social media posts to our sponsors and speakers to assist with marketing the eventDraft copy for events videos used in email campaignsDraft copy for product videos used on social mediaDraft keynote speaker invitations for upcoming conferencesUnderstand and effectively write to the brand/business voice across all marketing vehiclesEnsure accuracy and maintain consistent editorial standards and guidelinesWrite for SEO with keywords to improve organic rankingsWork in partnership with event managers to stay current on event updates and the editorial team to obtain accurate industry happenings that can be included in copyAssist in content strategy, web conceptualization and content analyticsRegularly meet with key stakeholders to ascertain goals for email and social media campaignsCollaborate with the email and social media marketing associate on campaigns strategyStay current with the latest industry trends and address these trends in the marketing copySuggest and consistently undergo training for professional growthContent CoordinationCreate upcoming events in the event and content management system and ensure proper posting on websiteWorking with the design team, create enticing, marketable events websitesOversee the content lifecycle of the event on the event websites including making routine agenda updates, updates to panelists and keynotes on the events websitesManage the events app, setting up push notifications and individual panel surveys, uploading sponsor documentation and other features to ensure engagementManage the survey outreach for each event, creating the surveys, working with the email associate on sending and summarizing the resultsCreate and track utm parameters and shorten links for social media postsOutreachWork with the director and editorial team to identify potential organizations to reach out to help promote the eventContact influencers in the industry and ask if they can assist with promoting our eventResearch industry experts and influencers within our industry and think of ways to encourage their participation in the upcoming eventSystematically prepare referral marketing emails and send to sponsors and speakersYour QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, advertising or communicationsTwo or more years of experience in producing copy for digital and print channelsThe ability to produce error-free content that adheres to the company's style guidelinesExceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronymsSolid understanding of SEO concepts preferredAbility to take complex information and turn it into persuasive copyNimble management of concurrent projects, including adapting to ongoing changes in priorities and deadlinesStrong communication skills over the phone, via email and in person are requiredAbility to handle routine situations with minimal direction regarding tasks to be performedMicrosoft Office proficiencyExperience with content managements systems and Hootsuite is a plusWhy work with us?Our firm is committed to providing our people with opportunities to excel professionally.We believe in the importance of a welcoming work culture and quality work-life integration to support our staff as we grow together.We're leading the way to a better future of work culture.
