of reference for full consideration. Job Summary The Director of
Executive Education will lead an executive education center that
offers -customized, professional development required for a new
generation of diverse individuals who are competent at guiding
business, technical, and management operations. Positional
priorities include building and delivering programming that
supports a knowledge-based economy that fosters a spirit of
innovation for local, regional, national, and international
markets. Programming could include non-credit and credit offerings
that vary in frequency and duration and integrate with academic
programming in support of and alignment with the Three Pillars of
Coastal Operations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and lead alearning and development unit staffed and
resources for curriculum andtraining for professional development
that will elevate the Blue Economylabor force and continue the
continuum of developing the talent pool,emphasizing historically
underrepresented populations.
- Engage a broadnetwork of professional contacts to ensure
training and development thatmay include industry leaders,
University personnel, community colleges, subjectmatter experts,
and others according to needs; partner with academic unitsto align
Executive Education programming with academic programming.
- Create andinteract with a network of leading professionals to
design and implement aportfolio of non-degree Executive Education
experiences, includingindustry-recognized micro-credentialing, and
facilitate the development ofcareer pathways that extend span from
entry-level to advanced levels ofemployment. Create and
cultivateexperiences that encourage participants to maintain and
build enduringrelationships for future programing
possibilities.
- Oversee program design and implementation in partnership
through a team of professionals focused on the financial,
operational, and administrative aspects of executive education with
particular attention to and the responsibility for success in both
content delivery and program logistics. Recruit and retain subject
matter experts to develop and deliver curriculum content.
Programming must be relevant and support and align with Coastal
Operations' Vision and Three Pillars.
- Develop proposals, budgets, and marketing materials to promote
programmatic growth with the goal of incorporating a
self-sustaining model for continued and sustainable programming
that persists beyond the two-year life of the grant. Actively seeks
external funding opportunities to sustain and grow
operations.
- Developappropriate mechanisms to identify, collect, and
maintain appropriate datato be used to inform decision making and
develop curriculum/content in thespirit of continuous
improvement.
- Serve as a keystrategist for launching Executive Education by
developing and implementingapproved methods for developing a
portfolio of programming for bothin-person and virtual
formats.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications - A
master'sdegree in education, business, or a related field from an
accredited institutionof higher learning and at least five years'
relevant experience.

doctoralor advanced degree in education, business, or a related
field from anaccredited institution and ten years' experience.
Experienced in theinteraction between higher education and maritime
