Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
school-based role is available in Long Beach, CA, seeking a
licensed professional with a specialty in auditory-verbal therapy
to provide part-time assessments and ongoing services. This
position requires a current state license and certification as a
Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal
Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT). The ideal candidate will hold
credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Audiologist, or
Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH), with expertise in
delivering Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT). Responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to determine the necessity of ongoing AVT
services for students. Providing AVT sessions once a month for 60
minutes if the student continues to require therapy. Collaborating
with educational teams to support student communication
development. Qualifications: National LSLS Cert. AVT certification
required. State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology,
or related discipline. Experience working in school settings with
students who have hearing challenges. Strong communication and
teamwork skills. This contract position is onsite with a commitment
of approximately one hour per month, starting as soon as possible
through June 5, 2026. Working in this specialized role offers an
