Senior Transmission Planning Engineer

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Sr. Energy Storage Transmission Planning & Interconnection Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Support transmission planning interconnection studies for operational and development needs
Facilitate power flow, stability, and dynamic analysis using various modeling tools
Develop and automate tools in Python, SQL, and Excel for analyzing output data flows

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
Experience with power flow modeling tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, and PSCAD
Understanding of the transmission interconnection application process
Experience working with ISOs and RTOs
Knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy operations, including wind, solar, and battery storage
