Stationary Engineer you will facilitate, and provide focused
support to promote the maintenance, preventive, and corrective
maintenance of the Critical Systems equipment. You will ensure the
LA Plant Critical Systems equipment is running within the validated
states. You will be responsible for troubleshooting repairs on the
Critical Systems equipment including Process Instrumentation.
Prepare detailed documented work orders. Understanding of advanced
process and control theory of a Critical or Major system. You will
report to the Critical Systems Manager. How you will contribute:
Responsible for operation and repairs of Critical Utilities Systems
and associated mechanical and electrical equipment. Perform
preventive maintenance and corrective work orders for critical
utilities systems. Respond to urgent and emergency work orders for
the Critical Systems department. Close assigned work orders in JDE
System. Complete Change Control documentation (PRs) if required by
the assigned work order. Shall be trained and qualified on
designated facility SOPs governing the operation of boiler room
equipment, critical systems, utilities and local GMP practices.
Will provide a moderate level of troubleshooting, diagnostic, and
repair of Critical utilities systems, equipment and equipment
components which include distillation units, boilers, air
compressors, pumps, piping, blowers, vacuum pumps, HVAC, Chillers,
and plumbing components. Requires familiarity with generally
accepted building, plumbing, piping, electrical, and fire
protection practices and codes. Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC,
UBS, UMC and UPC in compliance with L.A. City, CA state and federal
EPA regulation and laws. Must follow safety rules and responsible
system repairs, upkeep, maintenance and operations managed within
regulating agencies to include L.A. City Building & Safety, SCAQMD,
L.A. City Bureau of Sanitation, CAL OSHA and OSHA PSM. Attend
required training and meetings. Must have a knowledge of
instrumentation and mechanical systems, such as controllers,
indicators, control valves, PLC, analyzers, sensors, pumps,
pneumatic and hydraulic systems. What you bring to Takeda: City Los
Angeles Unlimited Steam Engineer's license is required High school
diploma or GED required 4 years of experience or AA or higher and 2
years of related work experience. Knowledge of Delta V and CMMS
systems such as JDE, Maximo, Blue Mountain RAM. You must be
proficient in many mathematical disciplines and be able to work
with both the metric and USA standards of measurement. Will read
and follow detailed written instructions Must have knowledge in
Lock out/Tag out (LOTO) programs. Interpret technical documents and
instructions, electrical and mechanical drawings, equipment blue
prints and piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID). Must
have customer service and leadership attitude to take ownership of
any maintenance related problem. Perform disposal of hazardous
waste. Must be proficient in written and oral English. Experience
using computerized control systems. Important Considerations: At

result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities
to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In
this role, you may: Will work overtime on a short notice and
support standby program. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry
up to 50 lbs. In general, your work will be a combination of
sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the
facility. Can work in controlled environments requiring special
gowning. Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective
clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body No make-up,
jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may
be worn in the manufacturing environment. Will work in a cold and
wet environment. Will work overtime. May work in a confined area.
Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions. Can climb ladders
and move about in closed quarters facility non manufacturing
support areas. Will work in a loud area that requires hearing
protection and other protective equipment to be worn. More about
