Job Description:
Job DescriptionSalary: The Pediatric Pulmonary, Allergy &
Immunology Division at Miller Children's Hospital is contracted to
Pediatric Pulmonary Associates, Inc., a California Medical
Corporation. The group has enjoyed a 30-year relationship with
Miller Children's Hospital. Over 30 years, the group has grown the
division into one of the largest on the West Coast. The growth has
involved patient care across multiple specialties, the development
of "super" specialty clinics, focused disease centers, research
clinical trials, community outreach and graduate medical education
with the management of a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship for over
two decades.The division employs 10 full time specialists as well
as 2-4 full time fellows in training. The division, under contract
with the hospital, services both inpatient and outpatient services
including nearly 10,000 outpatients per year. The division also has
collaborated in the development of the Translational Pulmonary and
Immunology Research Center (TPIRC) which is housed in proximity to
the Miller Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to
restructure and grow one of the largest divisions on the West Coast
in the field.We are seeking an individual with strong management
skills to work successfully with the future division chief to
organize, develop, direct, and report the functions of the group
and its affiliated activities. The division's future is bright and
the role of this position will be pivotal to our near and long term
success.Duties/Responsibilities:• Drive top-line growth & cultivate
strong physician relationships• Provide how-quality and
detail-oriented administrative services to our Clinical Services
team• Manage billing submission and reimbursements for the
division• Division pharmaceutical research trial recruitment,
organization, and management• Division representation to hospital
and other affiliated contract service agreements• Maximization of
contract and billing reimbursements• Managing public relations and
marketing strategies for the group• Coordinating accountabilities
for fellows and attendings joint responsibilities• Coordination of
division responsibilities toward collaborating entities (UC Irvine,
TPIRC, etc)• Develop, monitor and control the staffing needs,
operations budget and capital budget• Managing quality assurance•
Division physician and personnel recruitment• Management of and
collaboration with the Division Secretary and Fellowship Program
Coordinator• Other duties and responsibilities are
assigned.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree is required. Master's
Degree in Healthcare Management is preferred.• Must have experience
in the Healthcare industry and hospital environment. Registered
nurse is highly preferred.• Excellent organizational and time
management skills; Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a
fast-paced environment.• Must be a self-started who takes
initiative in identifying ways to further improve partner
relationships.• Exceptional communication and writing skills: the
ability to interact with a variety of people and clearly convey
information in writing and in person; Proven project management
skills.• Ability to cope with stressful situations, schedules, and
deadlines.• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.•
Experience in Salesforce and/or business intelligence software is a
