What we do:
The Structural Analysis Manager will be responsible for all aspects of analysis and support the certification of load-carrying structure including managing the development of the internal loads' model, static structural analysis, fatigue, building block test requirements, and validation of all structural performances. The position will support the building of prototype and flight test aircraft. This role will provide support and services to other structural components of the aircraft, which may include commodities such as rotor blades, gearboxes, interior components, and systems components. The role is responsible for all structures operating safely throughout the life of the aircraft.

• Manage the structural analysis team
  
• Ensure the airframe design meets structural design criteria and regulatory requirements
  
• Build and maintain the internal loads model
  
• Perform all required structural analysis to ensure the safety of the vehicle
  
• Engage in meetings with external entities including certification authorities
  
• Develop building block test programs to validate analysis methods and ensure all testing is completed in accordance with certification plans
  
• Ensure structural installations meet regulatory and company requirements
  
• Work closely with Test and Evaluation group to define testing requirements for component-level testing
  
• Author the structural analysis manual and co-author structural design criteria and structural design manual
  
• Closely work with Materials & Process team in developing structures design values
  
• May require up to 10% domestic and international travel
  
  What you can contribute:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
    
  • A minimum of ten (10) years experience in all aspects of structural analysis engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    
  • Experience with aircraft development programs
    
  • Experience leading teams and project management
    
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and building internal loads models
    
  • Experience developing static analysis tools
    
  • Experience with developing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis methods
    
  • Experience with prototyping
    
  • Experience with structural engineering and certification tests
    
  • Knowledge about Finite Element Analysis methods
    
  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles of structural analysis for secondary and primary structures and not relying on black-box tools
    
  • Project management skills including budget and resource planning
    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
    
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

    • Master s or PH.D., in a related field
      
    • Experience with systems stress analysis
      
    • Experience with interior equipment structural analysis
      
    • Familiarity with structural analysis methods for metallic and non-metallic structures
      
    • Familiarity with CMH-17 statistical methods
      
    • Familiarity with composite standard test methods
