RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Management:
Plan, organize and execute events/activities that range in size and scope
Be onsite during the entire length of each event serving as liaison for clients and managing teams, volunteers and vendors
Manage a diverse portfolio of event logistics including but not limited to site selection, registration, transportation, event set-ups, food & beverage, security, onsite personnel and special events
Ensure completion of post evaluation process that includes internal team members and client
People Management:
Lead individuals and groups of people, both internally (staff) and externally (vendors and facilities)
Crisis management
Financial Management:
Budget and financial management for each event
Ensure negotiated vendor contracts optimize pricing and minimize liability
Sales Focus:
Work with Account Executives on RFP process that includes proposal development and pricing
Participate in client presentations, as requested by Account Executive
Best Practices:
Stay abreast of technological advances as they relate to the events industry

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and abilities:
Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and activities
Work in an ever-changing environment
Willing to travel (domestic US and internationally)
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to lead as well as participate as a member of a team
Excellent customer service ethic/skills and the ability to train staff to deliver the best customer service
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Strong knowledge and desire to stay on top of the latest events-related technologies
Education and qualifications:
BA or BS required or equivalent in industry
CMP or CMM credentials preferred
Experience:
5+ years of relevant event management experience
Ability to use Microsoft platforms
CVENT experience a plus
Understanding of the Events Industry
