Job DescriptionSupervision Responsibilities: Provide general
oversight or work leader responsibilities for team members during
program or service activities. Goal of entire team is to assist
people with mental illness to live as independently as possible in
their chosen community.Summary: Under general supervision of the
director of programs assist in providing leadership and
coordination to a multi-disciplinary mobile health outreach team
providing services to homeless individuals with serious mental
illness, substance abuse disorders and chronic physical health
conditions based on the psychosocial rehabilitation model of
treatment and services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This
is not an exhaustive task list, and other duties may be assigned as
deemed appropriate or necessary by the supervisor or program

- Assist Director to recruit, hire, supervise, train, direct,
evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate assigned staff in
accordance with organizational policy and applicable laws and
regulations
- Serves as back-up to co-sign on member's service plans, provide
psychiatric evaluation and assessments for program participants and
supervision of interns
- Assist and support program documentation standards of staff in
accordance with MHALA, County Contracted Provider, and funding
source standards and requirements, and documents in required
program, including 24 hour turnaround documentation
- Responsible for oversight, analysis, and monitoring of the
program's budget and billing goals that align with program funding
streams and its target Fiscal Year goals as well as oversee and
manage team budget and expenditures, making adequate and timely
adjustments as needed
- Provide license-dependent mental and/or physical health
services to members as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of outreach, enrollments,
disenrollments and transfers of program members
- Advocate for social justice and systems change at a macro level
when opportunities are available
- Participate as a manager in meetings with the Department of
Mental Heal (DMH), community partners and team. Assume leadership
or delegate leadership of the day-to-day operations of the team as
needed.
- Participate actively in site training efforts
- Provide timely information and feedback to site director with
regard to emergent staff, team or member issues and work with
executive management to provide intervention to redirect staff
and/or programs when objectives are not being met
- Oversee psychotherapeutic and/or medical treatment programs of
members, and perform other similar professional services and
activities as needed within the scope of practice of the license or
degree
- Oversee a Coordination Plan and/or Personal Service Plan with
each member that identifies his/her personal needs and goals
- Oversee and advocate on behalf of the member to help him/her
obtain and keep housing, health care benefits, entitlements,
etc.
- Advocate on behalf of the families of the members and provides
them with information in regards to the general functioning of the
program, limits of confidentiality, etc.
- Read, perform researches, attend classes, workshops or seminars
and participate in other professional development activities in
order to maintain and enhance personal and professional skills
- Provide and support supervision of INN 2 Strategy 3, 4 and CAN
team members
- Support INN 2 Strategy 3 and 4 TAY peers/students as well as
CAN
- Attend INN 2 community trainings Position requirements:
- LCSW/LMFT or registered with intent to be licensed within 6
months of employment
- Minimum 2 year experience providing psychosocial rehabilitative
services to a disabled population plus experience in a
supervisory/leadership role preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and leadership to
diverse staff who possess a wide range skills, abilities and
professional competencies.
- Must have good basic English writing skills, good basic
computer skills and be highly organized. Must have excellent
communication skills.
- LPS certified; or become certified within 6 months of
employment
- Must be able to have the ability to juggle multiple tasks
without losing productivity.
- Must function well in a team-oriented approach to member
services.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word,
Excel and Outlook.
- Must have experience and skills in program development, working
with blended funding sources and experience with HUD and LACDMH
contracts.
- Must possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for a
work atmosphere that is very busy and highly unstructured and for
individuals who present for services with urgent multiple needs,
issues and problematic behavioral characteristics.
- Must know or very quickly become knowledgeable of the
characteristics of individuals who are substance abusing and/or
dually diagnosed, and have knowledge of local services available
for dually diagnosed individuals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of community resources.
- Must have a valid CPR certificate.
- Flexible work schedule to include some evenings or weekends,
and on call cell phone services when necessary.
- Driving with current class C driver's license, a vehicle for
transportation, proof of valid automobile insurance, the ability to
be insured by MHALA liability insurance are conditions of
employment.
- TB clearance and re-testing every year are conditions of
continued employment
- COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position.
