Job Description:

Shifts: Evening, Night 14:30 - 23:00, Sat/Sun nights 1830-0600 call optional

Minimum 2 years of experience in Certified Surgical Tech is required.

Charge Nurse: Charge RN / does the assignments for next day
Must have an active CA State License.
OR techs: Yes - CSTs - Weekend Requirement - RN's: Open to weekends? Run 4 RNs and 4 CSTs, 12 hr shifts on the weekend - Weekend Requirement - CST's: Open to weekends? Run 4 RNs and 4 CSTs, 12 hr shifts on the weekend - Call Requirement - RN's: May be asked to stay late to finish a case - no after hours call. - Call Requirement - CST's: May be asked to stay late to finish a case - no after hours call. - What is call response time: 30 min - Holidays: Rotate with core staff.
Scrub Color/ Provided: Provided - Tele: Yes - Vents: Yes
Surgeon on call hours: 1 trauma surgeon and 1 anesthesiologist.
IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes -
Shifts: Generally M-F 8s and 12s
Floating: No - Floor specific
orientation: A week or until comfortable.
Common types of cases: Ortho, neuro, general.
Everything except transplants. Have their own dedicated CVOR and trauma teams.
Scrubbing required
RN's: No - Additional Notes: Use preference cards. Sterile Processing Info
Equipment Used: Sterad, Steris 1, washer disinfection, and steam disinfection.
Duties: Decontamination, clean packaging, sterile processing. - Shifts: 8hr variable start time. Saturdays are possible.

Certification:
BLS, ACLS, PALS - CST - NBSTSA or NCCT cert
Techs must be certified through IAHCSMM or CBSPD
