an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) night shift position
requiring a CA RN license and pediatric critical care experience.
Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Pediatric ICU caring for
patients primarily birth to 2 years of age, with some up to 21
years - Night shifts, 4x12 hours, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am - 48-hour
work weeks with self-scheduling - Weekend requirement of 4 shifts
per month - Floating required to NICU and CTICU, with travelers as
the first to float based on census - Uses Epic EMR system - No
on-call requirement - Responsible for high-acuity pediatric
critical care for a diverse patient population - Must be available
to work at least two out of three holiday weekends during the
assignment - Pre-assignment Epic training modules and
facility-specific modules are required - Pre-approved time off must
be included at the time of consideration and is at manager's
discretion - First-time travelers are accepted for this position -
Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate if residing
within 50 miles of the facility - Modules to be completed before
assignment start and are not billable Requirements - Active CA RN
license in hand required - Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU RN
experience required - Previous travel RN experience required -
Current BLS and PALS certifications required - Experience with Epic
EMR preferred - 1 recent supervisory reference within the past 2
years required - No previous permanent employment with the facility
