Registered Nurse (RN) | Endoscopy Location: Long Beach, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,815 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Long Beach, California, 90813! Job Title: Registered Nurse - GI/Endoscopy Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy/GI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Procedural Sedation Competency Must-Have: Cerner experience Description: Cerner experience is required. The unit includes 3 procedure bays. There are 15-30 procedures performed each day. Certifications include RN, BLS, ACLS, and procedural sedation competency test. GI techs should have BLS certification, and GI certification is preferred. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. A supervisor serves as the charge nurse. Call is required only on weekends and holidays. Call hours are from M-F 1500-0700 and weekends from 0700-0700. Two call shifts are required during the week. Two weekend days are required per month. Scrub color is provided. There will be a hospitalist or intensivist on call after hours. RT services are available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts are Monday to Friday with start times between 07:00 and 10:00 based on the case schedule. Floating is not required. Floor-specific orientation will last for one week or until the nurse is comfortable. Common cases and procedures include ERCP, EGD, PEGs, and all scopes. Nurses may go to the OR for GI procedures and some bronchoscopies with RT support. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting will be done using the Cerner system. A BSN is required. A valid license is necessary for submission.
