Medical Assistant Location: Playa Vista, CA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $800 to $960 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/Hourly. Summary: The Medical Assistant supports healthcare providers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care. This role serves as a key point of contact between patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff. Locals not accepted Responsibilities: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds, and record in the medical record. Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data. Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice. Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs. Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines. Requirements Required Requirements: 2 - Year experience Required, High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program, Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries, Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture, Experience with CS-Link/Epic, BLS Certification, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of Pediatrics experience, Phlebotomy certification, Understanding of medical terminology, Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
