Customer Service Representative - Order Entry Your keen eye for the details and fantastic ability to build relationships will be critical to your integral role in our Carson facility. Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for timely and accurate processing orders received from sales staff, agents, and retailers in an effort to meet and exceed all quality and revenue goals and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities:

  • Processes customer orders. This includes such tasks as:
    • Performs data entry for all purchase orders and requests for product "holds"
    • Reviews accuracy of all pick tickets, bills of lading, and purchase orders for unit prices, payment terms, and sales tax
    • Verifies product availability, sundry requirements and availability
    • Resolves discrepancies on purchase orders and method of payment for pre-paid and other types of orders
    • Prepares necessary certifications and test reports for customer orders, including Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Conformance, and other documentation as required
    • Selects appropriate freight carriers and provide quotes to meet customer deadlines in a timely manner
    • Distributes pick tickets and bills of lading to the appropriate parties for processing
    • Coordinates with the Distribution team on product availability, product back orders, and future release purchase orders
    • Answers incoming communications via phone, email, and fax
    • Performs other office functions as requested

      • Intermediate technical knowledge of vinyl flooring and Lonseal products
      • Intermediate functional knowledge of SalesLogix
      • Intermediate functional knowledge of Sage 100 Qualifications:
        • Data Entry at 45 WPM, (10-key by touch also strongly desirable)
        • Ability to be punctual and dependable
        • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively; both written and verbally
        • Strong attention to detail
        • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
        • Ability to organize workload for maximum effectiveness
        • Intermediate computer skills, familiar with common tasks within MS Office Suite
        • Ability to be an effective team member
        • Understands and follows all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws
