HR Coordinator

Home Instead Long Beach has been an integral part of the Long Beach senior care community since 1999.-- We are a group of dedicated individuals who work collaboratively with our employees and clients, understanding our clients' needs and expectations and providing a personalized plan of care, carried out by CAREGivers who provide a superior level of care with consistency and dedication.

We are searching for a Coordinator to join our Human Resources department.-- Supporting 100+ employees, the exceptional candidate will be the point person for employee retention related activities in addition to supporting other HR initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HR COORDINATOR:

  • Retention (employee engagement, recognition, communications)
  • Training
  • Benefits Administration (open enrollment, 401k, eligibility tracking, LOAs)
  • Performance Management
  • Compliance (certifications, worker's compensation, disability & unemployment claims)JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR HR COORDINATOR:
    • Minimum of 2 years prior HR experience benefits administrative experience a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred (HR, communications, psychology)
    • Prior experience in the Senior Care industry a plus
    • Demonstrated passion for excellence
    • Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow up Exceptional listening skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal able to communicate with diplomacy
    • Above average computer skills with strong knowledge of MS office suite of products
