The job The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) provides a full range of human resources services to employees and management in designated business units. The position establishes partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will Partner with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Participate in regular meetings with respective client group. Advise leaders and employees on employee relations concerns to resolve employee relations issues. Provide interpretation and explanation of current company policies, and procedures. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Escalate complex and potentially risky issues appropriately. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Partner with leadership on talent reviews, performance management, succession planning, talent development and other strategic business objectives of the organization. Develop and recommend specific action steps to help the leader address identified issues. Mentor and guide department leaders on compensation actions, training and development opportunities, employee engagement strategies and retention efforts. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the department leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies. Identifies root cause issues and develops programs and procedures recommendations for organizational improvement. Initiate consistent practices/programs and implements initiatives for continuous improvement for positive employee relations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. Facilitate organizational development programs for leaders and employees, and specific teams or work groups. Identify training needs. Participate in the delivery, evaluation, monitoring, and development of training programs by following-up with training participants and leaders to ensure training objectives are met and providing periodic assessments of training courses, employee participation and effectiveness. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in at least one HR function. May lead and manage HR related projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related area required. PHR/SPHR and/or CRM-CP or CRM-SCP preferred. 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with an emphasis in Employee Relations. Knowledge of FMLA, FLSA, ADA. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including performance management, and federal and state employment laws. Working knowledge of integrating HR practices and company cultures after an M&A. Experience in a highly regulated industry Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain confidential information. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office.
