Job Description:
ICAN has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all

Supported Employment Program Job Developer must be a flexible,
people oriented and dependable individual. This position provides
administrative support for individuals with developmental and
physical disabilities. This position is directly responsible for
providing client direct care through client work interest and skill
assessment, job search activities, hiring practice, advocating for
clients with hiring managers and decision makers in the community,
and ensuring job or internship continuation. Job Developers help
clients with assessment, application, hiring, onboarding, and
training activities. This role also provides employment consultant
services for the partial work programs. This position supports and
fosters client choice. The Job Developer reports to the Supported
Employment Program Manager. Minimum QualificationsMust be at least
21 years of ageMust be eligible to work legally in the United
StatesMust be fully vaccinated from Covid-19Must be able to
maintain regular attendance and arrive to meetings and appointments
on timeMust have the ability to communicate with a variety of
individuals, including clients, guardians, coworkers, care
providers, and the publicMust be able to multitask and work

Experience, and KnowledgeOne year experience working with adults
with disabilitiesOne year sales or recruiting experience preferred
Must have strong computer skills and be comfortable using a
computer regularly, including the use of Apple Macs, Microsoft
Office, Google Docs, and client record databases.Must have strong
typing skillsMust be people-oriented with strong customer service
and problem solving skillsMust be fluent in English and have
strong/professional English writing and grammar skillsBilingual in
Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or ASL a plusLicenses and Other

the ability to travel to job sites and hiring locations in the
South Bay, West Los Angeles, and/or greater Long Beach areas. If
using a private vehicle, valid California Driver's License or valid

ResponsibilitiesIdentifying client needs and interests at
assessment meetings so job search activities may be focused on
roles that meet the client's goals and interestsConducting weekly
client job development meetings with each active client on their
caseload, including scheduling appointments, monitoring client
attendance, and completing meeting notesMaintaining thorough client
records and submitting status updates in client record database
throughout the program life of a clientBuilding relationships with
community businesses and leaders to increase organization
visibility and increase awareness of work opportunities in the
communityAdvocating for and representing clients with hiring
managers to improve a client's ability to gain an internship or be
invited to interview for a direct hire/placement.Monitoring the
completion of all required client and program documents, including
job development notes and monthly summaries, placement and
internship forms, and other required applicable documentation prior
to client beginning workEnsuring client pay stubs are obtained
within one month of the qualifying date for incentive
authorizationsOversee ICAN Job Preparation CourseMaintaining
positive and cooperative working relationships with clients,
guardians, coworkers and ICAN staffTeam Function
ResponsibilitiesAct as the employer liaison between supervisors and
ICAN, except when appropriate for job coaches to
facilitateConsulting at intake and assessment meetings for new
clients with clients, parents,, and case managers to assess whether
the program is appropriate for the clientActing as the initial job
coach for newly interned or placed clients for their first shift so
the client feels supported in the process of starting their new
position, receiving initial training from their supervisor, and
meeting their primary job coachInforming the program manager of any
client behavior or work issues and propose solutionsMaintaining
positive and solution oriented effective working relationships with
clients, guardians, hiring manager, coworkers, community members,
and the ICAN communityParticipating in weekly team meetings,
in-service training, and monthly department training
sessionsEnsuring the services provided to the clients are of the
highest quality and in compliance with the Department of
Rehabilitation (DOR), Department of Developmental Services (DDS),
Regional Centers, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities (CARF) standardsEnsuring that all client placement job
sites comply with accessibility and safety requirementsSupporting
case managers by consulting or providing feedback on their monthly
client progress reportsSupporting job coach forecasting by
communicating with coach supervisors, coach schedulers, and the
team at large to provide awareness of potential client work
opportunities and coaching needsFull adoption and active use of
company systems, including client record databases, communications
(email, phones, messaging), and digital reportsIdentifying barriers
to client success in obtaining the IPP/IHSP objective(s) and how
those shall be overcome pursuant to section 56720(c)(2)(B) of these
regulationsProviding positive role modeling to employees, clients
and the ICAN communityPartial Work Program Club ResponsibilitiesAs
directed, may be assigned to partial work programs to lead clubs
for clients wanting to develop workplace readiness skills. For
these functions, the Job Developer will report to the relevant
Partial Work Program Manager for specific assignment and
direction.Providing small group instruction and assistance to the
clients during their activities. Engaging in interactive
conversations with clients that encourage opportunities for growth
in defining, developing and implementing the clients'
goals.Maintaining all required client documentation by completing
case notes before the end of each shift. Case notes must be
submitted with correct grammar and spelling, or they may be
returned. Case notes should take an average of ten minutes per
client.Reporting any unusual incidents, concerning behavior, or
suspected abuse to the program manager or assistant manager
immediately.Writing the lesson plans for the activities of multiple
clubs in the ICAN Partial Work Program by given schedules and
deadlines. These activities should provide experience with everyday
living skills according to each client's ICAN partial work program
goals and objectives. Providing positive role modeling to clients
and the ICAN community.Performance RequirementsMaintaining an
equivalent of two placements or internships per month as assessed
on a quarterly basisMaintain a 3.5 or higher performance evaluation
score to remain eligible for any incentive bonusesPosition has a
base salary of $40,000/yr + bonus incentives based on
performance.Work location: Long Beach office & surrounding
region.General hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to
5pmOccasional shift adjustments to work evenings or weekends if
client interviews must be scheduled outside normal office
