Executive Director/VP, this position services strategic and
tactical planning, managing, delivering information technology
solutions and applications to meet departmental and enterprise-wide
business. This is a management level position leading a team of
Support Specialists, Systems Analysts, and applications. This
position has significant impact in all areas of the company and
ensures critical services, are provided in a timely and efficient
manner. The IT Application Manager will participate in the
continued development and execution of Long Beach Transit's
enterprise systems roadmap. This role performs complimentary with
the IT Network, Infrastructure Manager, and the IT Project Manager
in delivering superb IT services to internal and external users'
customers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:Lead large IT
projects, including the design and development of new IT systems
and services Monitor performance of information technology systems
to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make
recommendations for improving the IT infrastructureAnalyze business
requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the LBT
organization to develop solutions for IT needsAssess vendors and
develop test strategies for new hardware and softwareTroubleshoot
hardware and software issues related to internal ITIdentify
problematic areas and implement strategic solutions on timeManage
and support ERP softwareManage and support Intelligent Transit
Systems (ITS) software applicationsManage and support UCaaS
applicationManage IT HelpDesk Manage and support Microsoft 365
platformJOB DUTIES include:Lead and mentor IT Applications Staff to
ensure productivity, consistent with LBT's corporate culture and
core values. Assign and prioritize the work activities of assigned
staff.Conduct performance reviews for direct reports. Identify
areas of improvement and develop associates' skills.Develop goals,
strategies and projects across the team that align with strategic
business initiatives. Create, maintain, and enforce adherence to
relevant IT policies and procedures. Lead, participate in, and
provide resources to support project management efforts related to
implementation of new technologies and enhancements of existing
software. Adhere to end-to-end change control and release
management processes to ensure all proposed changes to IT
Applications are thoroughly evaluated, analyzed, approved, tested,
promoted, and implemented for business impact. Coordinate support
for user acceptance testing and software validation efforts to
ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. Ensure delivery of
projects on time, within budget, and with high level of quality.
Responsible for IT Application team's utilization of corporate
helpdesk ticketing system, Develop reports, metrics for KPI and
Director review Build long term relationships and negotiate with
external vendors and consultants to ensure project goals and
service levels are met and maintained. Utilize the core
capabilities of available IT applications and technologies to make
recommendations for streamlining, automating, and optimizing
various business processes. Research and recommend emerging
technologies, toolsets, applications, systems, user adoption,
standardization/simplification, flexibility, and reuse.Identify
process challenges and implement appropriate corrections or
enhancements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as

software issues, work effectively with technical consultants and
users. Understanding of organizational goals, objectives, and

Ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges by
utilizing available toolsets. Strong written/verbal communication
and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and organized. Ability to
manage people and projects from inception through to completion
with minimal supervision. A patient and professional demeanor,
along with a desire to learn all aspects of the business. To

Science, Information Systems Management, Business, Engineering, or
equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of five
years of previous IT management experienceExperience working within
an integrated ERP systems environmentManaging Intelligent
Transportation System is highly desired Managing UCaaS is highly
desiredExperience with Microsoft 365 environmentsKnowledge of
auditable data management requirementsExperience with cloud based
hosted software Software as a Service (SaaS), and/or cloud based
hosted environment AWS and Azure.Network infrastructure experience
is a plusGeographic Information System (GIS) is a plusRelevant
