San Diego, California, United States Software and ServicesDescriptionWe're looking for a motivated engineer with excellent programming, problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will contribute to Apple's firmware update solutions. Our deliverables are mostly middleware; frameworks and daemons. A basic knowledge of low level programming / kernel would be beneficial. Also, being familiar with I/O is helpful (USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Inductive, etc) since this is how accessories connect to devices.Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of programming experience in C, Objective-C or Swift
• Experience designing and developing production-level software
• Bachelors degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience/skills.Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skillsCompensation and BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
