Infosys is seeking a full time SQL Server DBA . This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. We are looking for someone who is experience with Microsoft SQL Database Administration. The DBA needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision that is pleasing to our client.Desired Skills & ExperienceRequired* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.* Candidate must be within commuting distance from or willing to relocate to Long Beach, CA for this position* At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology Skills* At least 3 years of hands on experience working in SQL database administration* At least 2 years of Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools is essential* Must have hands on experience with migration and implementation with SQL Servers* Perform backups and restores* Setup High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server* Implement operational automation using scripts.* Worked on indexes, index management, and statistics.* Worked on SQL Server tools* Worked on issues related to performance tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools* U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.Preferred* Experience coordinating during mergers and acquisitions a plus* Delphix Knowledge including Delphix Appliance Admin a plus* Analytical and Communication skills* Planning and Co-ordination skills* Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travelThe job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
