Tasks & Responsibilities: --- Plans, implements and supervises operation plan to ensure compliance with CBP regulations, responds to any deviations of the process and communicates exceptions and resolution suggestions to appropriate management --- Frequently interact with team, outside customers, and/or functional peer groups at various management levels. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc. --- Develop team atmosphere focused on internal and external customer service and drive performance to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives are met --- Select, place, and train staff and define specific job assignments within specialty teams --- Monitor and control files within shared email boxes, electronic workflow tool, brokerage and transportation systems --- Review electronic files to ensure the documents are properly organized, and shipment notes are timely, accurate and informative --- Manage operational, exception, KPI, duty discrepancy and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate processing, issue resolution and timely completion of all required activities --- Manage file initiation operations, ensuring timely processing and assignment of files to next team in the workflow --- Manage billing operations including accurate and timely invoicing, file profitability analysis, cost control responsibilities, issue resolution for problematic files --- Ensure that customer rates are maintained in transport management systems --- Work closely with transportation teams and peer-managers to seek mutual benefiting process and workflows --- Continuous process improvement in all areas of responsibility Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills --- Analysis of situation or data --- Exercise judgment of procedures and policies to determine appropriate action --- Act as advisor to team as required to meet schedules or resolve problems --- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word & Outlook --- Experience in accounting preferred --- Customs brokerage license is preferred but not required --- Understand results and impact of erroneous decisions or delays in process on internal and external customers --- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills required Job Requirements:
