Job Description:

The Leave Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of the leave process which includes analytical, planning, reporting, technical, systems and project support. The Leave Coordinator will also help resolve concerns and issues from employees, managers, HR, and other customers and external parties regarding processes and policies through phone, email, case management, and chat. This person will strive to meet all expected service levels and business performance goals, performing a full range of services and fully documenting all cases in the case management system. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * First point of contact for all general inquires and processes all incoming inquiries. Requires judgment and interpersonal skills in handling calls from employees. * Responsible for creating cases in LOA tracking database for all LOA requests. Analyzes LOA requests to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as resolves eligibility issues. * Documents all LOA calls and emails in LOA database. * Responsible for providing appropriate information to Lincoln Financial pertaining to new STD claims. * The role interacts with colleagues, vendors, management and physician offices to ensure all appropriate information is obtained and documented in compliance with Federal/state regulations and policies of NFI. * Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding leaves of absences, including, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and Wage and Hour Law. Provides guidance to internal clients (Employees, HR Business Partners and line managers) regarding interpretation of local, state and federal laws regarding FMLA and ADA as well as related NFI Policies. * Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. * Positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations. * Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in team environment. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. * Participates in special projects as required. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field. - preferred * Minimum of three years related job experience. * Familiar with types of leaves of absences and benefits coordination. * Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. * Excellent written, verbal and listening skills. * Ability to adapt to changing and new priorities. * Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and organization skills. * Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding leaves of absences, including HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Wage and Hour Law. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data and matters. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. * Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines Position Knowledge and Skills: * Organized and capable of meeting all deadlines. * Positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations. * Ability to follow strict policy guidelines. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Strong interpersonal and listening skills. * Ability to deal with ambiguity. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately To all agencies: Please, no phone calls or emails to any employee of NFI about this opening.
