Part-Time Training Program Coordinator California Transit Training Consortium (CTTC) is hiring a Training Program Coordinator! This is a California based contract position that can be done from home. Candidates in the Los Angeles and Southern California region will be given preference.CTTC has been a leading provider of technical training for the public transit industry since 2004. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation comprised of Community Colleges, Universities, Transit Agencies, and Public and Private Partners who collaborate to design, develop, customize, standardize and deliver cost-effective technical training for the improvement of the transit workforce through a state-of-the-art learning model.The Training Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for working with CTTC's Executive Director and Education Service Committee to develop unique training courses and programs for our members. Primary duties include speaking with transit training instructors and/or transit supervisors to determine training needs, implementing training programs and reviewing data from previous training programs. In addition, the Training Coordinator will evaluate and assess training effectiveness in terms of what trainees have learned in relation to a particular skill/task as requested by the client or transit provider.The Training Coordinator will work roughly 25 hours per week, reporting to and collaborating with CTTC's Executive Director to implement the following duties and responsibilities:1. Coordinate between staff, instructors, the Learning Management System (LMS) provider and the CTTC Education Services Committee to ensure effective course delivery2. Create training schedules for CTTC, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for member agencies3. Gather, analyze and report on training data and track participant progress4. Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training aids and/or resources5. Recruit, and on-board new CTTC Trainers6. Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training7. Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher learning opportunities and improve productivity8. Research new training supplies and materials that enhance services9. Identify future training needs with Educational Services Committee and facilitate update/create curriculum as identified by Educational Services CommitteeThe Training Coordinator will also provide information to CTTC's Executive Director and Marketing Consultant to support the organization's outreach efforts including promoting training opportunities to employees, providing information on benefits to encourage participation, and informing employees/transit provides on upcoming scheduled training. All candidates should have the following traits and qualifications: Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiently in using a personal computer as well as virtual communications and file sharing technology including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Access and presentation software, Adobe, Visio, and SharePoint, etc.) Exceptional organizational skills project management and interpersonal skills Ability to work with a diverse team of professionals and pay close attention to detail Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze dataThe following qualifications are preferred: Knowledge about Adult Learning Principles, instructional design, traditional and modern training methods, and techniques Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, instructional design and e-learning platforms Ability to operate databases and media equipment such as flat screens, SMART technology, Smartboards, etc. Education Requirements: Candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in training and development, employee development or education and/or a related field A master's degree in any of these fields is desirable Equivalent experience in these areas will be considered in lieu of a degree The Training Program Coordinator should have: At least three years of work experience in a private or public sector Familiarity with current training techniques and proven track record of conducting successful training programs, or similar transferable experience Previous work experience as a Training Facilitator, Trainer, Program Coordinator, or a similar role in a corporate/non-profit environment is beneficial Experience working in a technical/trade maintenance and/or transit maintenance industry is preferred.Title: Training Program Coordinator (non-profit)Status: Contracted Position, part-time, approximately 25 hours per weekSalary Range: $48,801 - $51,336 - $56,481To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to:Jennifer Carr, Executive DirectorDeadline to apply: September 30, 2022Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $48,801.00 - $56,481.00 per yearSchedule: Self-determined scheduleWork Location: One location
