CHS has Flexible Workday Policy, which provides a variety of weekly work schedules.This is a Full-Time (37.5 hours), Non-Exempt PositionUnder the supervision of Children's Home Society of California's (CHS) Program Manager, the Program Assistant will: - Answer incoming Payment Hotline phone calls - Provide exemplary customer service and assistance to child care providers regarding their child care reimbursements by researching provider inquiries - Track statistics of provider calls - Perform clerical duties such as data entry, scanning and linking, copying, typing, heavy filing, and word processing - Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and governmental regulations - Maintain all records in a high-quality manner and within record protection, retention, and destruction guidelines - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma OR Equivalent - Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a customer service setting - Minimum two (2) years of general office experience - Strong ability to research and troubleshoot - Ability to prepare and present effective written work, provide strong attention to detail, and produce error-free work - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the agency staff - Proactive self-motivator with a professional, positive, and flexible attitude. - Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic - Ability to work independently and be accessible while teleworking - Excellent project management, customer service, and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment - Commitment to CHS's core mission and values, and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Automobile, valid driver's license, good driving record, and automobile insurance - Ability to travel via surface transportation, including travel between multiple officesSALARY SCALE:$16.97 to $19.85 per hour, based on experience and education plus excellent benefits (including 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premium coverage for eligible employees and their eligible dependents and 10% pension plan contribution for eligible employees)For consideration, please send a cover letter and resume.CHILDREN'S HOME SOCIETY OF CALIFORNIA IS ANEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERSMOKE-FREE/DRUG-FREE WORK ENVIRONMENTJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.97 - $19.85 per hourSchedule:* Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:CHS cares deeply about your health & safety.
