career today. PEO PositionTo operate a combined cycle plant (2 GE
7FA 0.5 combustion turbines on 1 Siemens steam turbine) in a safe,
and environmentally compliant manner to optimize generation. The
HRSG is a three pressure Vogt unit and the fuel for combustion
turbine is natural gas. The net CCGT plant output is 644 MW. The
Plant Equipment Operator (PEO) is responsible for monitoring and
operating of all plant equipment on a continuous basis. The PEO
operate plant equipment reliably by taking appropriate corrective
actions and executes plant shut-down and start-up procedures with
the direction of CRO as required. The PEO assures that the plant
meets its generating requirements while operating in a safe and
efficient mannerShift: 12 hour rotating shift 6am-6pm, modified
DupontResponsibilitiesOversees the safe, efficient, reliable and
environmentally sound operation of plant equipment.Meet all safety
and environmental compliance requirements.Assists Control Room
Operator on plant operations Lock Out/Tag Out for equipment
isolation/deisolation, hanging tags, racking in-out breakers.Follow
Job Safety Analysis/Work Authorization/Confined Space/Hot Work
Permits as per instructions of established safety
procedures.Follows all plant safety procedures and participates in
plant safety initiatives/programs.Participate in training and
promote the Company's policies through actions and conduct.Follow
all Company policies and expectations and behave in a manner that
promotes the Company's values and positively effects
morale.Properly operates HRSG, steam turbine, gas turbines, plant
auxiliary equipment and systems during normal and emergency
operation.Responsible for the understanding of the plant water
treatment process. Maintaining proper chemistry by testing and
making necessary adjustments and recommendations.Work with
commissioning team for system walkdown, preparing punch list, hydro
test, flushing, chemical cleaning, steam blow, plant startup,
commissioning and testing activities.Performs water analysis of
HRSG water and make necessary adjustments to chemical feed to
maintain water quality to within desired specifications with the
direction of control room operator.Operates various manual valves
throughout the plant site.Communicates information clearly, both
orally and written.Assists others in performance testing of
equipment/systems.Assists in on-the-job training of other
Operators.Troubleshoots plant equipment to resolve operational
problems.Generates and reviews Work Requests for execution of
equipment repair using SAP work management system.Monitors and
records data available using various instruments, trends, alarm
systems and other monitoring devices onto shift logs as directed by
plant operational procedures.Assists in development, review, and
revision of plant operating procedures.Observes variations in
operating conditions and take appropriate actions.Unload Aqueous
Ammonia and other bulk chemicals at the site. Able to operate Fork
lift as needed.Completes appropriate rounds readings, equipment PMS
and other inspection documentation.Report upset conditions or other
anomalies in plant status to the Control Room Operator.Perform
emergency operations to maintain electrical power, fuel gas,
hydrogen gas and aqueous ammonia systems and safeguard power
facility equipment.Complete other tasks as requested by the
Operations Manager.The PEO operates from established and well-known
procedures under general directions and minimum supervision.
Decisions are made within prescribed operating and casualty
procedures and guidelines.Assist control room operator to control
the operation of the plant, and must do so in a safe manner
resulting in no accidents, in compliance with all environmental
permits always. The PEO must effectively communicate information to
control room operator and fellow plant personnel, relative to the
condition of the plant equipment and performance, and provide
suggestions for plant improvements. The PEO must perform duties in
such a way to result in an optimum cost- benefit ratio.The PEO may
also give direction to maintenance personnel on matters pertaining
to plant operations and maintenance.Perform operations preventive
maintenance on CCGT plant equipment as per the O&M recommended
procedure and standard operating procedures.EXPERIENCE:Combined
Cycle Plant Operator experience (3-5 years or more).Combustion
Turbine Operation (3-5 years or more).Plant Operator experience in
the Power Industry (5 years or more) - preferred.Must successfully
complete the PEO qualification book.Must pass GPI, GE, Siemens and
Kiewit training classes with an acceptable score.Basic computer
