Search all of our job openings on our career portal.IT Help Desk AnalystPosition SummaryVirgin Orbit (VO) is seeking a new member for our team to serve as an IT Help Desk Analyst. If you join us in this position, you will be responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, phone, remote, in person (for walk-up customers) and self-service.This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This is a Full-time position at our rocket factory in beautiful Long Beach, California.

Your Mission:
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applicationsAssist all our users with any IT related incident when called uponTake ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessaryAccurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk systemInstall and configure new IT equipmentResolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardwareResolve incidents with printers, copiers and scannersMaintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate mannerMaintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organizationHelp Virgin Orbit do our part to make the world a better placeConstantly learn new thingsand share them with your team membersPerform other duties assigned

What you bring:
High School diploma or GED, minimum of two (2) years of help desk support experience in a corporate manufacturing environment; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience working with Desktops, Laptops, Phones/Tablets, Servers, Printers, Networking Devices and related equipment.Advanced knowledge of Windows 7, 8 and 10 as well as Mac OSX.Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and the fundamental items that makes Enterprise Domains function.Basic Understanding of Networking and Security protocols and troubleshooting experience, along with VPN troubleshooting experience.Basic Understanding of Imaging and Deployment procedures and systems (WDS, MDT, SCCM).Basic understanding of scripts and batch files, along with PowerShell and Linux Shell commands.Must be a U.S. person as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR 120.15).Must be able to work varying hours/shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends, if needed.Passion for space exploration and a firm belief in the utility of affordable access to space.Ability and desire to perform in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.Self-driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement, inter-team communication skills, and attention to detail.Must be able to provide proof of US-approved Covid-19 full vaccination status, unless otherwise exempted by an approved reasonable medical or religious accommodation from Virgin Orbit.Skills We ValueIT Certifications in relative field.Be a self-starter who is highly motivated, and takes pride in their work.Bring a positive attitude to the team with new ideas, willing to share what worked and what didnt work in your past companies.Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience preferred.Ability to thrive as a one person team.Ability to add something unique and positive to our team.Generally high level of all-around awesomeness.ITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.Personal RequirementsOur idea of a happy life: build rockets, work with brilliant people, serve purposeful customers, and open access to space.
