Job Title: Project Architect ( Healthcare Building Design and

Our Santa Monica office in Southern California is actively seeking
a talented, skilled and experienced Project Architect with 7+ years
of architectural industry work experience to join our healthcare
architecture and interiors practice.
Ideal Qualifications for this Project Architect include:
- 7+ years of architectural industry work experience
- Past architectural work experience pertaining to healthcare
projects such as hospitals, medical offices, acute care facilities,
- Bachelors or Masters degree in architecture, accredited
professional program (preferred)
- Licensed Architect / Architectural Registration (preferred)
- Proficient working knowledge of Revit
- Demonstrated proficiency with, SketchUp, Microsoft Word,
- Demonstrated application of OSHPD regulations as related to
construction documents, permit procurement and related construction
phase activities preferred
- Demonstrated experience organizing and producing design and
construction documents for core and shell and tenant improvement
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate and produce detailed
construction documents for exterior and interior building
- Demonstrated ability to lead the production team on day to day
Project Architect Role and Responsibilities:
The Project Architect works under the direction of a Senior Project
Architect to produce one or multiple projects. Scope of
responsibility on large projects may be focused on a single OSHPD
package such as core/shell or production of tenant improvement
Translates design into construction and works closely with the
Project Designer to develop and validate design strategies within
the context of engineering, code, cost and constructability
Works closely with the Project Manager to define tasks and
deliverables in all phases of work and will assist the Project
Manager in developing the appropriate schedule for delivering the
Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with
other team members.
Utilizes past knowledge and experience to enhance the quality of
product, recognizes problem issues, communicates impact to team and
seeks clarity when necessary.
Assists Sr. Project Architect in submitting, implementing OSHPD
comments and obtaining approval.
Meets project design schedule and design construction budgets.
Assists with cost estimates and evaluation of bids with project
Assists with the preparation of analyses including alternates or
substitutions to reduce costs.
Assures execution of, and assists with, quality control activities
for architectural elements on a project.
Reviews drawings, documents and submittals for design intent
compliance and code compliance.
Responds to RFIs and issues revisions to contract documents as
necessary during construction.
