Supports a consistent compensation philosophy in-line with the mission and organizational objectives of SCAN. Partners with internal customer groups to attract, retain and reward employees through competitive, fair and compliant pay practices.You WillConducts studies and participates in surveys on a variety of compensation topics. - Identifies and evaluates compensation trends and best practices. - Recommends policies, practices and process improvements addressing base pay administration, variable pay, employee recognition and other cash compensation programs.Prepares Compensation Committee materials through collaboration with external consultants, committee advisors, and select Human Resources leadership. - System management of BoardVantage will be used to track all committee documents.Investigates and resolves a wide range of sensitive and/or complex compensation issues related to wage and salary administration, pay equity, pay competitiveness, job classifications and FLSA designation.Evaluates new and existing jobs and job families to determine appropriate compensation levels. Reviews essential job duties and minimum qualifications, organizational structure, relevant compensation practices, and job market value to determine the appropriate base pay and incentive compensation packages.Provides guidance to managers and staff on compensation matters concerning department reorganizations, classification of employees, promotions and offers of employment.Monitors and evaluates compliance with SCAN pay policies and wage and hour regulations. Keeps apprised of new legislation and changes in federal, state and local regulations affecting employee pay.Administers the annual merit process and annual incentive pay plans. - Prepares communication materials, reviews pay increases for policy compliance, calculates bonuses and coordinates implementation with HRIS and Payroll.Implements and/or updates software tools used for annual base pay and incentive pay processes. Prepares statistical data, reports, and presentations concerning compensation activities, program results, or in support of other HR functions.Prepares compensation reports/queries, as needed, and ensures integrity of data and reporting methodologies.Provides training to management and staff on compensation policies and practices.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsYour QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field of study (or equivalent career experience), required.Certification in Compensation (CCP) or Human Resources (SHRM-CP/SCP) is preferred.5 years of experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years of experience in Compensation Administration/Management.Knowledge of Federal and California state regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs.Proficient in HRIS system operations, UltiPro experience preferred.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Strong communication and presentation skills.Able to work independently and be a strong team player.Proficient in MS Office. - Advanced Excel skills.Covid-19 Vaccination PolicyTo ensure a healthy and safe work environment, all SCAN employees will be required to be fully vaccinated by January 1, 2022.
