In this job, you'll work together with business partners and suppliers to ensure Edison receives the highest value from its $6 billion in annual spend and/or the resale of Edison owned assets. You will be interacting daily with internal organizational units and external vendors to capture the best value through Edison's contracts for our ratepayers and shareholders. Responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement or investment recovery category strategies, issuing Request for Proposals, conducting bidder's conferences, evaluating proposals, negotiating and managing contracts, and ensuring compliance to schedule and quality standards. The successful candidate for this high-level individual contributor position will also be expected to provide functional direction and mentor a cohort of other procurement or investment recovery professionals.     • Develop and execute category strategies across a variety of transmission, distribution, and substation material categories
    • Leads supplier/vendor performance through the development and execution of scorecards and client/supplier business reviews
    • Leads the competitive solicitation, supplier/vendor selection, development of contracts, contract language, and associated terms and conditions to ensure appropriate risk mitigation
    • Facilitates the integration and cohesion of business relationships among organizational units, team members, and external suppliers
    • Maintains consistent interaction with vendors and business partners to ensure adherence to contracts
    • Develops strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, handling information and providing exceptional service to internal and external partners
    • Provide leadership, facilitation, collaboration, total cost reduction and cost savings while meeting Supplier Diversity goals
    • Assess work activities and processes for consolidation opportunities
    • Performs analysis supporting the resolution of risk issues and gap identification
    • Develop, implement, and complete change management strategies
    • Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and applying business tools (financial, logistical, commercial, risk, and cost analysis) to attain desired results
    • Accountable for maintaining procurement or investment recovery sourcing schedules
    • Maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned. Qualifications
      The essentials
      • Seven (7) or more years of experience in supply chain/contract management in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
      • Experience administering complex material or service contracts The preferred
        • Bachelor's degree (or higher) preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
        • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Certified Manager of Investment Recovery (CMIR)
        • Knowledgeable in and able to effectively use software applications (e.g, MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) as well as Ariba and SAP systems, modules, and platforms
        • Working understanding of utility material and equipment contract requirements and supply chain processes used to support them
        • Experience with the development and execution of material and/or services contracts
        • Experience and knowledge of procurement contracts, agreements, and terms and conditions
        • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including oral presentations, formal correspondence and contractual documentation, group facilitation, and negotiations
        • Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers You should know
          • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
