There's no commission attached, you won't have -to generate business, you'll -call warm leads that are -referrals from outside sales reps, will work with the Sales Manager and be the Sales Manager's -right hand person, will be an Account Manager to oversee current customers and deal with new incoming customers, you'll validate (vet) whether the prospective client meets the company's criteria for becoming a customer. -Will be -responsible for tracking the process, liaise with the customer and deal with any discrepancies, work with Powerpoint presentations, work with R&D, work with customer service. You'll -get -hands on training from the Sales Manager who's been there a long time. We're looking for you to have analytical skills, must know -MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel. Will do forecast reporting, people skills are VERY important here, will attend shows, a degree -is required plus at least two years of experience, food or nutraceutical industry experience is highly preferred and almost required, must be strong in -dealing with customers, will be located at a -Long Beach plant, this is a new position, and there's a lot of growth potential, there are -plans to develop an outside sales team and you -will liaise with that sales team in vetting and dealing with new customers throughout the process. -nnJob Summary:

This position is responsible for sourcing new business through warm leads, supporting the managing of new and existing customer accounts by developing meaningful relationships with customers, and understanding and demonstrating product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound, call from Leads, shows, and emails. -

  • Oversee the vetting process of new prospective customers ensuring they meet company qualifications.

  • Meet goals and objectives set by leadership
    nt
  • Assist with the effective development of new products for customers by understanding customer needs and requirements.

  • Working alongside the research and development department in the development of new customer products, building the product with the customer and creating samples, and sending them to the customer for feedback.

  • Work with customer service as a liaison to follow up on customer purchase order progression and relay back to the customer.

  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest

    • Work with the sales and marketing departments to develop effective sales presentations.

    • Support sales with forecasting and sales analysis reporting

    • Attend annual related trade shows

            Qualifications and Skills

            • 2+ years performing functions in an Inside Sales role
              nt
            • BA/BS in -Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
              nt
            • Nutraceutical or Food Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
              nt
            • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
              nt
            • -Knowledge of ERP NetSuite, a plus
              nt
            • Packaging experience preferred, not required
              nt
            • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
              nt
            • Strong phone presence and listening skills
              nt
            • Highly organized with attention to detail
              nt
            • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

            • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

            • Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs various times per day

            • Bilingual in Spanish/English, a plus
