RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accountant will support the daily functions
of the Accounting Department and some HR support functions by
providing the direct services listed below and providing overall
general support to the Chief Financial Officer. The Accountant will
report directly to the CFO. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Assisting with
various monthly and ad hoc financial analysis, preparation of
monthly financial statements, property tax filings, and annual
audit preparation. 2. Performing daily cash management activities,
recording both online banking transactions and manual cash receipt
deposits. 3. Preparing monthly bank and account reconciliations. 4.
Assisting in month-end close activities, including but not limited
to reviewing and analyzing income statement and balance sheet
accounts. 5. Assisting with budget and forecast activities. 6.
Assisting in the timely completion of regulatory filings as
assigned. (State informational tax returns, sales and tax returns,
unclaimed property filings, 1099-MISC filings, W-2 filings, and
other state and federal filings.) 7. Assisting in the preparation
of interim and year-end audit working papers as assigned. 8.
Preparing monthly accrual, recurring and adjusting journal entries.
9. Managing billing and accounting for multiple programs/lines of
business. 10. Support with HR data entry and system support, as
needed. 11. Ensure environments meet health and safety requirements
by maintaining a clean and orderly environment at all times. Report
any health and safety concerns to supervisors. 12. Ensures the
safety and well-being of all program participants, at all times, by
following organizational policies, procedures and responding
promptly to any concerns or incidents. 13. Work with Directors to
facilitate communication, teambuilding and leadership expectations
and standards across all programs. 14. Attends all organizational
and departmental staff meetings and trainings. 15. Performs other
duties as Assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: General: • Must be at least 21
years of age. • Must pass a fingerprint and criminal background

current California driver’s license. · Can lift a minimum of 45lbs.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality. · Thorough knowledge of accounting best practices
a must. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related
software. · Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting
software required. · Organizational skills with attention to

EXPERIENCE: · Minimum BA degree from accredited college or
university in Accounting, Finance, Business, Business
Administration, or related field and minimum 3 years of general
accounting experience. Work experience may offset education
requirement. · Have and maintain current Red Cross First Aid
Certificate and CPR Certificate. Certificate also offered by The
Arc. · Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing both English and
Spanish, preferred. · Able to successfully complete organizational
provided Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training. SCHEDULE AND
COMPENSATION: · Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. · 403B available
with employer 4% provided after employee contributes 6%. · Health,
Vision, Dental benefits available. · Compensation reflective of
experience and education. Salary Description $23-$28/hr
